Great acting by all the principal actors but especially Maisie. What a wonderfully expressive child actor.

In addition to getting a number of facts about the movie wrong (Did he/she really listen to the dialogue or even see the movie?) most professional reviews totally ignore the really poor way this movie was made. The movie is a series of vignettes and most of the scenes are approx 1 minute. This gives the movie a very choppy experience. The editing is also very weak and the photography while trying to create tension adds to the choppiness. The co-directors were at the screening I attended and I was surprised to hear what they believed they had conveyed through the movie. As a former Family Court Judge I have unfortunately seen this story lo too many times. There is no redemption. Ms Moore's character stays true to the end being totally self absorbed and using her child for whatever she can. Even th ending is a case of "Me First" I give this movie 2 stars but give the child Onata Aprile 3 stars. DaMeyvn

This is the story of a wonderful little girl who survives a pair of emotionally incompetent parents as they divorce and take on other spouses. They have shared custody and Maisie seems to be only thing that they can tolerate about each other. The movie is a mess emotionally speaking, but Maisie powers on. All of the adult actors shine in their various dysfunctional rolls and they all love Maisie in their own way. This wouldn't be an easy movie to sit through if it weren't for Onata Aprile's (Maisie) performance. She is the shinning star in the movie that makes it worth seeing.

This is a sad but very touching story with amazing acting done by Onata Aprile as Maisie. Not once was she a brat nor did she ever appear to be 'acting'. The other actors were great as well. If you like these types of movies, you'll definitely like this one!
